China Palace

Vice President: Tom Michaels
Secretary: Lloyd Thurman
Treasurer: Jerold Cochran,PP

As our name implies, we serve Douglas County with the exception of coastal region of the county where, because of proximity, Nobles participate with Coos County Shrine Club and Pacific Dunes Shrine Club. Our Club is noted for our brightly painted 1930 Model "A" Ford car and Dazzle, our manned inflated clown. Dazzle, with his red nose and friendly wave, is always a hit with the children.

Our monthly business luncheon and meeting is on the second Thursday at a China Palace. Social meetings with our ladies and guest are held on the third Wednesday at Kowloon Restaurant in Roseburg, or another location as announced. We do not have a social gathering in July and August because of other activities. All Shriners and Freemasons are welcome at our social gathering.

Annually, we host the Shrine Circus and a Donkey Basketball Game. We support the Shrine East/West All-Star Football Game and host the player's recognition banquet for players selected from Douglas County, their coaches and family members. We love to join in parades and can be seen at the Veteran's Day Parade in Roseburg, as well as, other parades around the Douglas County area.
